Beauty Babes Unite Crystal and Chenelle had a chance to interview the founder of MF People Greg Alterman. For those of you that are not familiar MF People; it is a genderless and minimal lifestyle brand, which brings simplicity and calmness to your home in regards to bath products and clothing. To them, less is everything (the brand uses no more than 15 ingredients per product). How did Greg come up with the idea for MF People? For starters, during his college days, Greg sold t-shirts out of his dorm room. Even though he was majoring in sociology, he was getting firsthand experience with business management and entrepreneurship. That t-shirt company Greg started at the prime age of 19 was recently bought out by Hanes! After college, Greg owned a juice-pressing company for many years, which later led to the great shift to MF People. In 2015, Greg experienced a brain hemorrhage. Not only did he call the ambulance himself, but he fully recovered without disabilities after six months. The hemorrhage made him sensitive to “visual noise” such as the clutter of bright colors. Since then he has cleared his home of such noise and created a simple, peaceful, minimalistic environment. His traumatic experience, combined with his t-shirt business experience, led Greg to create MF People. As you will see by checking out their website, MF People makes a few simple things exceptional.
