Victory Motorcycles

Victory Motorcycles based out of Spirit Lake, Iowa has come a long way since the first Victory, the V92C, was announced in 1997 and began selling in 1998. In 2016 Victory established in entry into the electric market before any major American motorcycle company like our favorite American based company Harley-Davidson this helps reposition Victory as a forward-looking, performance-oriented brand. Which is kind of funny seeing as its parent company, Polaris Industries, created the firm following the modern success of Harley-Davidson.

Victory's motorcycles are designed to compete directly with Harley-Davidson and similar American-style motorcycle brands, with V-twin engines, touring, sport-touring, and cruiser configurations. Back in January of 2015 Polaris Industries Inc. announced it has purchased the electric motorcycle business of Brammo Inc based out of Oregon. In addition, Polaris is acting as a leading investor in a recapitalization of Brammo that enables the company to focus exclusively on the design, development and integration of electric vehicle power trains.

It also allowed the company to race the ex-Brammo electric super-bike in the 2015 Isle of Man TT (where it finished third in the hands of Lee Johnston), while fitting in nicely with the “prove American performance”efforts represented by the Project 156 Pike Peak racer, and the Gunner Pro Stock drag bike. Through these efforts, Victory’s name has been put in front of an entirely new worldwide audience for a variety of compelling reasons. Sadly, the price of the Victory Empulse TT is just as high as it was when the all-electric motorcycle wore the Brammo name plate. Indeed, the new owner has increased the price to an eye-watering $19,999, which "GreenCarReport’s " Ben Rich notes can be easily raised to $22,598 simply by adding aftermarket forks, a windscreen and frame sliders. The all-American bike can reach top speeds of up to 100 mph. This electric motorbike feels and handle much better than bikes that run on fuel.

You can get 45 miles in normal suburban riding and 50 with the added capacity. Full charge time on 110-volt household current is 7-8 hours but at 240 volts on a public charging station or with accessory charger this is reduced to 3.5 hours. The excellent maneuverability and comfortable drive of the bike is made possible due to electric drive. It is the first American made electric super-bike. Prior to this, most of the electric super-bikes were made in Europe, Japan, or China.
